49ͼ¿â officially marked the first repatriation for Ancestral remains removed from what is now the state of Maryland through the federal Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).

In a cooperative effort to bring Haudenosaunee culture to life for younger generations, the Oneida Indian Nation partnered with 49ͼ¿â’s Longyear Museum of Anthropology and the Picker Art Gallery to produce large outdoor reading stations, known as a Story Walk.
